Education Director

The Education Director serves as the senior leader responsible for planning, administering, and evaluating all educational programs on the Tribal Reservation. This role ensures that early childhood educational services reflect Tribal values, support cultural preservation, and promote academic excellence for Tribal members and the surrounding community. The Education Director oversees departmental operations, supervises staff, manages budgets, and collaborates closely with the Tribal Council, school partners, and community stakeholders. This position plays a central role in shaping the future of the Tribe’s youth, strengthening cultural identity, and ensuring that education systems honor Tribal sovereignty. It’s a leadership role with deep community impact.

Education Aide

Full-time

Reporting to the Education Director, the Education Aide provides support to the classroom by assisting with the preparation and delivery of instructional activities, observing developmental indicators, redirecting behavior, and addressing the health and safety of the children. They are also responsible for assuring compliance with State, Federal, and Tribal policies and funding guidelines.

Cashier/Cook

Full-time

This position requires a team player attitude, with good communication skills. This is a hands-on position, which includes Prep work, cooking, and receiving.

Coordinator / Advocate

Full-time

The Coordinator/Advocate position will be tasked with holding talking circles and monthly gatherings to share knowledge from Elders, Cultural Bearers, Seniors, Staff, and others with knowledge to share with victims or secondary Victims of Crime to help them heal from the trauma they have experienced

Tribal Police Officer

The Tribal Police Officer is a sworn officer by the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians and commissioned by the Bureau of Indian Affairs to protect lives and property on the La Jolla Indian Reservation.
