The following duties are considered essential for this job classification:
1. Safely operate a shuttle truck, transporting passengers and their bikes to the top of the mountain bike park.
2. Perform daily inspections of the shuttle truck, ensuring that it is in proper working condition and meets all safety standards.
3. Maintain a clean and comfortable shuttle environment for passengers, including regular cleaning of the vehicle’s interior and exterior.
4. Assist passengers with loading and unloading their bikes, ensuring that all equipment is securely fastened and stored during transit.
5. Provide excellent customer service to passengers, answering questions about the resort and its facilities, and offering information on trail conditions and safety guidelines.
6. Adhere to all resort and traffic safety regulations, ensuring the safety of passengers, other drivers, and pedestrians.
7. Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or other incidents to management promptly and accurately.
8. Collaborate with other resort staff to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests, while prioritizing safety and satisfaction.
9. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the La Jolla Band of Luiseño Indians’ mountain bike resort operations.
1. Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays on a regular basis
2. High school diploma or GED required.
3. Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record
4. Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff from diverse backgrounds.
5. Knowledge of mountain biking and familiarity with the resort’s trail system is a plus.
6. Strong attention to detail and safety, with the ability to maintain focus and make sound decisions in challenging driving conditions.
7. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as bicycles, and assist passengers with loading and unloading as needed.
8. Reliable transportation to and from work.
